ww140 Bee Propolis Spray
ww140 Bee Propolis Spray

Bee Propolis A remarkable natural anti-biotic source. Propolis has been around for over 45 million years, and has been used by man for thousands of years, both internally and externally, as a healing agent.

Propolis is a sticky resin which seeps from the buds of certain trees - the bees prefer poplar - and it also oozes from the bark of other trees, chiefly conifers.

Bees use propolis as a natural sealing agent, as a building material, and as a natural anti-biotic. In the beehive, propolis is the bees' first line of protection against attack by micro-organisms (bacteria and viruses), and other nasty invaders. The entire interior of the beehive is coated with a fine varnish of propolis and it has been said that the interior of the beehive is one of the most sterile environments found in nature!!

The composition of Propolis includes; 50% resins and balms, 20% beeswax, 10% essential oils, 5% pollen, and 5% various organic and mineral matter. It is rich in amino acids and is also a source of trace minerals such as copper, iron, manganese and zinc. Propolis is also high in the B-vitamin complex and contains notable quantities of vitamin C, E, and beta-carotene. Other constituents include flavonoids and most importantly, antibiotics.

Often called "Nature's Penicillin" propolis has effective anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-septic, anti-fungal and anti-biotic properties. These protective and healing properties have been conclusively demonstrated in numerous studies all over the world.

Medicinal Properties of Propolis It has anti-infective properties and has been used for wound healing for thousands of years (including during the war when soldiers used propolis to prevent wounds from becoming infected and to speed the healing process).

The most widely researched benefit of propolis is its' immune boosting activity. Propolis stimulates the body's immune system - it activates Macrophages which play an important part in infection prevention It is a natural broad spectrum anti-biotic that activates the thymus gland.

Because it is selective in the way it attacks pathogenic bacteria, the normal bacteria, such as the flora which play a vital function in our digestive system, are not effected.

Bacteria do not build up a resistance to Propolis, which means that it can be used repeatedly in the treatment of illness, unlike the penicillin type of anti-biotic Propolis (eaten) treats benign skin cancer and has recently shown an indication that it may help prevent cancer developing.

Used daily as an immune booster, or at any time when you feel as though you may be getting ill with a flu or virus, Propolis usually prevents it
